How Trump made the Hurricane even more Deadly

According to the American Coal Ash Association's Coal Combustion Product Production & Use Survey Report, coal ash is one of the largest types of industrial waste generated in the United States. Coal ash is a toxic substance that remains when coal is burned in power plants. It contains contaminants like mercury, cadmium and arsenic. Without proper management, these contaminants can pollute waterways, ground water, drinking water, and the air.

In December 2008, in response to a major coal ash spill in Tennessee, the Bush EPA began crafting the Coal Ash Rule to require stricter requirements on coal ash disposal. Of course, the Republicans blocked and delayed implementation of new regulations. Then in 2014, a drainage pipe burst at a Duke Energy in Eden, North Carolina, causing the third-largest coal ash spill in U.S. history.

Republican Men Hate Their Mothers

Republicans legislate to cure perceived societal ills. And just like mission-oriented serial killers, they typically justify their disenfranchising acts as a way to address America’s so-called social failings and a way to rid America of a certain type of person perceived as undesirable…. homosexuals, prostitutes, or people of a different ethnicity or religion.   In an odd twist of fate, the laws all victimize women...the mothers of mankind.
Since the days of Adam and Eve, female sexuality has caused some men to lose self-control so that they cease to be responsible for their actions - or so goes the accepted wisdom. And some Republican men clearly fear women's sexual power and even feel justified in blaming them for acts of male sexual violence.

The Media isn't Fake, but it is Biased

In the late 19th century, yellow journalism was a style of newspaper reporting that emphasized sensationalism over facts. It still exists.  The dirty little secret: media is biased.

Its biases are exposed in story choices, headlines and even photos,  that lead readers to certain positions.  Media encourages concern about the things that the media, editorialists and opinion makers think are important.  It is one of many factors that helps to create a climate conducive to everything from conflict and influence overseas to the political and racial division at home.

The media has the power to capture the attention of a large audience and to influence public reaction…and it does.  It controls the minds of the masses.

Calling out racism DOES NOT diminish its meaning

I keep reading it in comment sections and hearing it on talk shows…”calling so many acts racist makes the whole idea of racism lose its meaning.”  Presumably,  some whites have just become bored at the whole idea of being held accountable for the racially insensitive things they say and do.

It occurs to me that many people are confused about what even constitutes racism.  For example, absolute furor exists around the spectacle of football players taking a knee during the National Anthem and against Colin Kaepernick, the former football player who started the protest.

Some say it is about honoring the flag.  This is false fury.

President Wrecking Ball

“You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole. But if you don’t deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on.” ~ Art of the Deal
Trump fancies himself a master dealmaker,  but so far, he has only dismantled deals made by others, while clinching none of his own.  He’s like a brood parasite.  Brood parasites are birds that lay their eggs in other birds’ nests sometimes destroying eggs already in those nests. So far, there is little Trump can claim as his own outside of lies and chaos.
